Whoa! Going to be a real wilderness weekend!
LOL.
Really sorry to hear that you'll be bedridden this weekend. Thanksgiving might be out for me, but there's always Valens on the calendar!
BTW: I already picked up a couple of beers and burgers for the McIntoshers'. If you had managed to come in, they would have made out like bandits!
Ggreaves' advice is good. You might want to mention that you're a rookie solo paddler to the canoe rental folks and they might recommend something a little more stable. Whatever you settle on, when it comes to route planning, try to stay reasonably close to shore even if it means going a little further. When it comes to paddling on windy days, make sure your trim is good; a little bow heavy if you're heading into the wind, a little stern heavy if your running with the wind and level if the wind's coming from the side. I'm constantly adjusting my trim by sliding my pack forwards or backwards. Have fun!
As Iguana said, you're already counted for.
Nice!!!
See you guys up there! Paddle safe everyone!

Hey guys, just got to the permit office and had to put my name under permit 1 - don't know anyone's real names or info so they wouldn't let me go under permit 2 since I am the first here. See yall on the lake!
Back from another trip. As always it was enjoyable due to the company and in spite of the weather. I'm sure pics will follow in a report of some kind.
