    The forces are what they are, can't say the folks here have been all that intolerant. Being that far off the ground has inherent risk. Having those ratcheted forces on trees has inherent risk. If used properly (like a lot of things), its not that big a deal, and its not like we're hearing of a bunch of Tentsile accidents. But clearly the product requires the attention that you apparently give it, but its a level of attention and awareness that is going to be hard to consistently apply to all users.

    Just over 100 people die in auto accidents every day.
    Dead is dead... least it was an interesting way to go. Likely not a single one of the thousands who died in boring ways that day made the paper

    I'll take a tree over a shortened daily commute anyday.
    My luck it would be driving home anyway and I'd get stuck spending my last hours on this earth at a desk.

    For backpacking, I'll take my chances with trees. However, that does look darn handy for car camping where hanging options are unavailable or uncertain.
