    Just Finished my 1st UQ

UUUUGGGNGGGH --- It aint purdy but it's as good as two blankets in a hole in da shed ---

    Seriously.

I underwent a heart procedure last Monday and had my 90 year old Mom here to help me. I told her I had the materials to make the UQ and she insisted we do it on Friday. As I said she is 90 and has been sewing her entire life. She gave me some great tips and suggestions but laid back and watched me do all the work. She helped me tweak it here adjust my stitch there etc and it came out ok for my 1st attempt. And even if I had to throw it in the trash the time spent working with mom made it priceless.

    All components from Dutchware

    Dutch ION fabric
    3.6 Apex Climashield
    Cord locks
    Grosgrain
    Shock Cord
    Etc...

Amazing project to do with mom, and when she is gone, every time you use it, you will think of her and smile.

She will insist on driving herself to the funeral home. 90 and sharp as a tack. Lives alone, drives herself everywhere, all her girlfriends are in their 50's. She goes to Israel in October for 10 days. I'm truly lucky to have her around.

Wonderful story. This is the magic of DIY, right here.
    I sew things on youtube.
I don’t sew on commission, so please don’t ask. Thanks.
