Latest Sewing Project - Top Quilt

Thought I would share my latest sewing project. This is a 20ish degree top quilt, using 10D fabric from Ripstopbytheroll and 14 oz of down from Rosefeather (purchased through Amazon). It has 2" baffles sewn 5 inches apart. This was my first attempt at a round sewn footbox and I believe it turned out okay. I will have to work on the footbox a little more in future projects.

I want to say thanks to everyone on here that post your own projects. This forum really is my education when it comes to MYOG and I don't think I would be nearly as successful at projects like this without a community supporting the effort.

Nice work, that looks professionally crafted. I’ll be interested in hearing how the field testing goes.

What do you think the fill power of the down was compared to the advertised FP?

I don't have a way to properly test it, but for general purpose I assume it is closer to 700 then the advertised 850. There are a few feathers in it and there is more of a smell then if you were to use a more premium down from a vendor like Wilderness logics. Overall, I have used Rosefeather a couple of times now and have not been disappointed. For less then 2 bucks an oz, I'm willing to add a couple extra ounces in the quilt and hit it with Frebreze. Your mileage may vary though.

Nice! I've got a bag (pillow?) of Rosefeather down waiting to go into a topquilt this fall/winter.
