Well I already had the shorter pad. I put my Exped downmat 9XP in my Amok Draumr XL to see how it would work.
It did work. A wee bit of flop at both ends as my Exped is not the length of the XL.
The pad that comes with the XL is only good to about 27ºF or so.
My Exped is good to -30ºF.

(I say this, assuming the new XL features will trickle down to the regular size draumr)

PS it would be awfully nice if the Amok guys would confirm or deny this though
I think in time they will confirm or deny this but have been a wee bit busy with the whole XL coming out and getting them produced and shipped.

XL hammock, tarp, and XL pad all seem a snug fit in their stuff sacks. Time will tell how easy it will be to re-stuff them all after use!

Lots of cool design features though, which you can sort of tell have come about through iteration and much tinkering. Very nice work Jonas and Amok team.

I thought the pad fit back in fairly easy but the hammock was a bit snug for sure. Haven’t tried the tarp yet.

Does anybody have a trick for using the Hangtime Hook on the ridgeline that is 90° off from the usual orientation? I figure I could use the notch that was designed for a cord lock and hook that over the Draumr ridgeline, but nothing would really be holding it in place. Will experiment this evening as I am set up for a backyard hang within WiFi range.

I have held off on ordering one just for that reason. Didn’t look like it would work without an 90 deg adapter of some sort.

It's possible it could work with the shock cord that runs over the ridgeline to keep the bugnet from sagging. I'll try that too once I get out there. Methinks the hook + phone will be too heavy for that plan though. It's only 1/16" shock cord.
