    Serious Question; Hammock Romance?

I've been hammock camping for a couple seasons now and after all my evangelizing my wife is finally interested in giving it a try.

I'm making her a set of gear and have a pole for the beetle buckles on they way. It will be nice to be able to hang side by side.

I can't imagine two adults sleeping in one hammock in any comfortable way. Is a little hammock romance even possible?

Don't want pictures or 'R' rated details, but a little advice would be appreciated.

    Shane

there are ways to make it happen, especially in mayan or brazilian style hammocks, but I'm not sure I'd attempt the same things in hexon 1.0?

Seriously, I would be pretty careful if you do attempt any shenanigans. Only hang as high as you are willing to fall and all that. My wife and I have broken a suspension strap in the past...

A hammock that will support the weight of two people "making whoopie" seems like a waste for five minutes of pleasure (okay, maybe 10 minutes). I think that would put some serious strain on a hammock and suspension! The vendors calculate the weight a hammock will support based on sleeping, not making whoopie.

I'd personally choose the ground over wrecking my hammock or suspension!

The later statement came before actually viewing the hammock sutra video... i would not attempt it in a tech fabric hammock. Maybe one of those crazy Mayan gizmos that can support 5 people swinging... even with the proper equipment I imagine you.would have to be in quite excellent shape to pull off half of that. YMMV.

-Your options are pretty limited in a hammock. Can it be done? Sure. Done well? Not especially likely. This is the primary reason I am not a full time hanger.-

    Thanks Shug.

After seeing that, I'm thinking "going to ground" isn't such a bad idea.
