So count me in. Possibly two of us.

We camp four seasons but tend to avoid deer season in the daks.

As for Lake George activities the Tongue Mountain Range is beautiful 4 seasons. The Lake George Islands are nice canoe camping destinations.

Are there still rattlesnakes in the Tongue MT range? There were the last time I was there.

I can commit to a winter hang, for sure. Haven't in the Adirondacks in winter since I moved from the High Peaks region 11 years ago..

There are rattlesnakes all over NY. You just don't see them. A friend of mine who owns a farm in Elmira NY has a son with one hand. He was bitten by a rattler and didn't get help in time. Almost lost his arm from the swelling. He was 12 Y.O at the time. Use diligence in areas where they may be sunning themselves, Step on logs and rocks not over them, and make noise with your walking poles or a stick. They will 100% of the time get out of the way before you encounter them if they can. Also they can blind bite if not hurt, as in no injection of poison, just to warn you.

Bears, snakes, big foot, just make a little noise to be safe.

Having lived most of my life in New York, and most recently in Saratoga, I am familiar with the Adirondacks. It is common knowledge that the Tongue range is known for a pretty high number of rattlesnake sightings; more so than other areas of the park. So when I asked about its continues popularity, it was for a specific reason, not a statewide generality.

    Interested, would be 1-3 people.
It is a very alert, active sheep, with a stylish, lively carriage.

I use a Juki & Pfaffs w/ assorted attachments, and have serviced lots of vintage machines. Any questions?

I'd be interested if the timing works. We have family with a house near Saranac Lake (a little further than Lake George) but have only ever done it for a long weekend, so I'm not sure how a regular-length weekend would work out.

    1-2 people

I'd be interested for 2019. One or two of us. Just as long as it's well outside of black fky season.

I’d be down for it Spring through Fall. I don’t do winter camping.

Would it be a dog friendly site?

I’m just outside the Northernmost border of the Park. About 2.5 hours North of Lake George.
