The name says it all. Is this whoopie salvageable? It's pretty deep! I got snared & it got pulled full force with my body weight..

Been there, done that, couldn't recover it.
Made continuous loops with what was left after cutting it up. Had a spare suspension line with me though.

I've saved one. However, it only had to happen once before I started putting beads on the adjustable loop so it would never happen again. I like to drill a hole in dice to use as a stopper bead.

It's always possible. It just might not be worth the effort.
I broke a bead off of an adjustable loop. What would be a good replacement as a stopper?
This might work—
Splice a one inch section into-completely inside last part of loop just before that loop would have gotten pulled into bury. This will make cord fatter, so it’s not likely to get pulled into bury. It’s non breakable, you can’t lose it, it’s almost invisible, there’s no cost—since you will use scrap cord in construction.
There was a thread several years back that showed this method. I’ve not tried it—or if I have, I’ve forgotten. HYOH YMMV
That 1" spliced piece is what I do since ruining a whoopie.

The common practice when doing any splicing is to taper the bury so as not to create a weak spot. I didn't see it mentioned but shouldn't this internal stopper be tapered (on both ends) too?
TominMN, that’s an important observation—-
I don’t know—maybe try both tapered and not tapered. If tapered, can it get pulled into bury and get stuck? And if not tapered, will amsteel whoopie sling break? I dont know.
I do use 1/8 amsteel for all of my suspensions, as you know, all my suspensions are off the wall and sometimes skate on thin iceYMMV???
Another way to prevent whoopie sling buried in itself—-use a scrap hank of amsteel, tie it in a small loop interlinked with whoopie adjustable loop—interlinked like two links in a chain. It will free float on whoopie—-and when it’s needed, it will prevent whoopie from getting buried in itself.
A diamond knot would be a good knot and a double or triple overhand knot will work too.
