    Dutch Ware questions *noob alert!!!*

Am new to hammocking and was thinking of doing some diy gear with some Dutch gear and have a few questions.
What is the largest diameter amstee that the beetle buckles will accept? Was wanting to use 1/8.
Could the open hole be used to hold a detachable ridgeline with a carabiner?
    Thanks!

Not sure why you'd want to go bigger than 7/64 for your CLs(?) but I'm pretty sure they'll handle 1/8.

If you want a detachable SRL, is there a reason you want to make it part of the suspension rather than part of the hammock?

I have one of Dutch's ti 'biners on my SRL up tight in the head end. When I want it down, I unhook it and just stuff it in the foot end.

Beetle buckles are awesome, and while I haven't used mine with 1/8th, they will work.

Post #9 in above thread Dutch confirms they'll work.

DutchWare admin also confirmed 11/14/17 under Beetle Buckles "discussion" section that 1/8th is compatible. https://dutchwaregear.com/product/beetle-buckles/

I use 1/8" regularly with my Beetles.

The only time I had a problem was when I tried to get the thickest part of the CL over the Beetle hook. After a quick adjustment to the CL, I was good from then forward.

Thanks all. I was thinking of redoing my suspension on my Yukon but I am thinking of just waiting and getting it if I can get a chameleon latar on. Hindsight is always 20/20.

I made some 1/8 continuous loops (it was the only Amsteel I had on hand). Works fine with Beetle Buckles, but the fit is awfully tight if you have to hook the bury. I'd recommend installing the CLs so you only have to hook a single thickness.
