Amok Draumr XL

Looks like they are accepting preorders now! Just over 7 pounds for everything (hammock body, suspension, tarp and pad) if my math is correct. They may have eliminated the included suspension carabiners to save weight. What do you folks think?

Probably order mine today. Looked it over real good early this morning. I can’t wait. Well I will wait but it won’t be easy.

It is a great improvement and a very different hammock. My favorite for reading in my back 40.
They never claim fir it to be the lightest but if you need to do a trip where you may have to go to ground this would be terrific. Sets up and ground nicely too.

Even though I've had a prototype for a couple of months, I just placed an order for a Green one and a Blue - because I need the other colors!

And yes, they did away with the old suspension and made this super simple. Lots of improvements!

I'm just gonna say, the old suspension was just fine

altho, as i scrape the sap and crap off my straps this week, I do like the ability to easily remove the straps on the new setup

that new footbox NEEEEEEEEEEDS to show up in the regular amok now as that's my only kinda sorta complaint about my whole setup

edit: i need a scale, i just looked and my exped is listed at 40oz. that can't be right, can it?

it's a great hammock for paddling trips. you never know where you're going to stop for the night sometimes and the ability to hang between 10 foot and 20 foot gaps is really under rated, and like you said, in desperation, it's pretty alright as a bivvy

I found out that I can use my Draumr 3.0 with my Tensa 4 stand for motorcycle camping, I’m not looking to ever go back to my GE’s and bridges (except for back packing).

I can’t pass up a Draumr XL, blue is my color....
