    Tarp Tie-outs...

    Grosgrain or webbing?

    I have used both.... My $. 02...

    I think it best to use webbing where there is a higher chance of wear from line or split rings and grosgrain where there is a plastic hardware device permanently attached that will take the abuse.

    I haven't always followed this advise, but that's my recommendation.

    What about shock cord? Would looping that directly through grosgrain (tying it off with a pair of half-hitches) present a problem?

    I don't know about that. I dont use shock cord.

    A good quality Gross Grain will be fine. No reason to use webbing.

    If cord can cause wear to grosgrain, I'd think the same would be true of shock cord (?)
