Hammock Stands - Painted or Stained (Pictures & how-to descriptions)

I was looking for a thread on how-to paint my stand made of galvanized steel. I couldn't find one. I found instructions on-line talking about prepping the nonstick surface so it can hold paint by cleaning it with a chemical degreaser.

Then I thought, it would be cool to have a thread where anyone who painted or stained their hammock stands can show off their works and talk about how they did it and why they made their choices.

So, please post pictures and how-to descriptions.

I painted my galvanized with the new Forged Hammer Rustoleum. I was just too lazy to prep so I just use the left over to touch up once or twice a year.

White spirit and Hammerite paint with a brush or spray can should do the job

Stovex black Matt stove paint is also hard wearing
