Adding a ridge line to the WBRR

Just wondering if any hangers has adapted an internal ridge line to his Ridgerunner. I just got the hang time hook and wondering if I can install it in the Ridgerunner without damaging the mosquito net. I don’t want to addd additional weight on the line. I only want to addd the weight of the iPhone + hangtime hook + very lightweight LED light .

    Thanks Trailslug for the info

There’s a nice mod but involves sewing
I have never sewn before unless I get my mother to do it
Saw an interesting video from Rob about hacking a ridge line he used fishing line and a button to prevent stress on the netting. Completely removable . From the fishing line he then used 7/64 amsteel. It’s original.

I took Rob’s design and made three modifications.

    - I used a single strand from a piece of Lash-it instead of fishing line.
    - I passed the strand through the sewn loop of the bug net pull-out and then immediately down through the existing bug net holes on either side. The strands are then tied together using a double square knot forming a loop. This method eliminates the need for a button and still provides the necessary strength to keep the cord from ripping through the bug net.
    - I used Lash-it soft shackles instead of an s-biner to my Zing-it ridgeline. This is me being extra cautious to ensure a sharp edge doesn’t rub on something when I have the wbrr packed away.

I knew somebody would call me out on not having pics!

Upfront: The hang angle in my basement is not optimal and I only use the hang time when using my hammocks at home. The phone I’m using in the pictures weighs 235g (8.3oz) and my son weighs 164lbs (74.4kg). The bug net bungees are stock. I used a #16 needle that just pokes through the existing holes.

In the pics I’m only showing the head end, but the same method is used for the foot end.

Great idea...I've wanted a ridgeline too, it seems handy to hang a few things inside the RR. Gonna try this mod.
