The "Mosquito Bat Hammock" is an overhead single point hammock for tree climbing or hanging low to the ground when you only have one tree (or a pole, or a ceiling). The hammock uses spreader bars which can be seen in detail in the two videos linked below. The factory mosquito net that "Mosquito Hammocks" sells was not long enough to cover the full hammock IMO so I modified it to cinch fully around the bottom of the hammock thus creating a safe space from the blood suckers. The rainfly was 100% custom made by me out of 30d silnylon and it has one large window which is covered by noseeum mesh. I have always used the rainfly to keep mosquitoes out at night and left the mosquito netting at home but the air circulation inside of the tarp is not good enough for really warm weather when camping near the ground (up high in the tree is usually a lot windier). The rainfly seams are 100% sealed creating a waterproof umbrella. Once you are in the hammock and the tarp is deployed you need to tie the window open by attaching it in the hammock (so that it doesn't collapse in the wind).
I was going to use the weights from the "Mosquito Hammock" website but it appears that the website is down so I will have to get weights for the whole setup this weekend. I would guess it is around 7 lbs for everything. The hammock was built with durability and safety in mind so this is not an "ultra light" setup. It was designed for bigwall rock climbing but I have used it for backpacking, tree climbing, and bikepacking. The only reason why I am selling this is so I can buy a backpacking kit for my son.
Price is $250 for everything.
