I have made a "wooki" syntetic quilt. it have the same packsize and little bit lighter than my wooki 20. i have money for 1 20 wooki, and i can sell my other quilt so i can buy 2 wooki 40 for my kids. me and my kids do not sleep cold. have used my yeti down to 24 (-4 celsius) if the wooki 40 can keep the boys warm down 40, everything is perfect.

Sounds like you have a plan! Let us know some day how things turn out. I often wonder whether "internet advice" helps or not. Ha!

I just got back from an overnight hang in Ontario, Canada with temperatures ranging 60-70 using the Yeti 20 and was not able to last 40 minutes before I had to remove the under quilt, with that being said I would choose 40 in either model for comfortable three season hangs in !

WOW, I know peoples experiences with UQs are varied, but experiences with the wookie are ALL over the place.

The coldest of sleepers should be able to get to within 15 deg F of the rating (cold sleepers often take them to within 10 deg of the rating), if you are getting cold 25 or 30deg above the rating there is some other going on besides just being a cold sleeper. There is as much consensus on the accuracy of the 20 deg Wooki rating as there is for any UQ out there.

As for being too hot, warm sleepers may opt to vent the Wooki in warmer conditions by adding a 2-3" suspension extension to allow the quilt to hang slightly loose, while others will just uncover themselves on top and find that to give adequate cooling by itself without the need to vent the UQ

it is better to vent than sleep Cold. in the morning it is the coldest and moist, it is then i need the most of the quilt. i do not use underquilt protector. i ordered my quilt 31 july. hope it is ready soon, and then i have 2. just love the wooki.

I am a cold sleeper and have a 20° Wookie. I took it down to about 26° at HangCon last year and was still very comfortable. Needless to say I was very impressed. I am planning on purchasing a 40° also because I live in Florida and it's more practical for most of the year. I love my Wookie!

20 degree all the way. It's a ton more versatile and can be vented if it's too warm.
