That short vid of Foxpoop cracked me up. And the dirt on the kids - impressive!

This was our first John Rock hang and it was great. Natalie, Lacey (our beagle) and I arrived Thursday afternoon after waiting a bit for a rain cloud to pass over. The trail was a bit soggy but that just meant the Cedar Rock waterfall was even more impressive. We setup our hammocks in an enchanted grove of trees while Foxpoop walked Lacey around (much appreciated). We made some dinner and then enjoyed sitting around the campfire that night. A few lies might have been told.
Friday morning we woke up to enjoy the runners jogging by, some in costume. They must get up early to make it to our camp by 6:30 or so.
We then broke camp after breakfast to head up to the high country near Shining Rock. It was pretty cloudy up there so we had limited views but the wildflowers were out so we didn’t mind.
It was great seeing old friends and meeting some new ones.

Paul, I brought Zoe along to see you all. I'm glad that you were able to make it and had a good (though wet) time. I didn't arrive until Saturday around lunch. My video should be finished rendering soon.

So here is the UPDATE on BIG BILL.

He has no broken bones and just has a hyperextended knee which will keep him out of work for 1 to 2 weeks. He is in a cast. Big Bill is staying in an extended stay hotel in Asheville, while Little Bill and Athenawise drive to Bloomington Indiana (they left around 5PM Sunday). Where she will get some rest then head north to Indianapolis to pick up her daughters van and head back down to Asheville, NC. Athenawise thanks all of you for being so wonderful in helping and will thank you when she gets a chance. At this moment she is asleep while little bill drives. The whole family had a great time. I will keep you all posted.

I want to thank you all so much for making this hang great and cant wait until next year to do it again. Thanks Foxpoop for setting this hang up every year for us.
It was great to see you again, sir. Thank you for the update on Big Bill. Here is praying for a quick recovery.

I hope you all enjoy the video as much as I enjoyed the hang.

Zoe joins me for the 9th Annual John Rock Hang. The weather was unusually cooperative. Trails were muddy, bellies full, and spirits high even when an accident occurred. "Kevin's Photoshoot" provided by @Detail_Man

Great video Brother Bones. Sure have missed the Enchanted Forest.
Aim for the moon, if you miss, at least you will still be among the stars.
