    I had a similar idea earlier this year: to take the sea to summit sleeping pads and where they are dot welded together, punch out a hole for airflow. I imagine you can only use their ultralight pads for this (the comfort light and comfort plus have sections where they are 3 layers and offset.) Havent tried it but still really interested in it as a concept.
