    Hammock Length

This is more of a personal preference type questions. So I am sure there will be more than one or two opinions, but am curious what everyone's hammock length and width preferences are?

Secondly, if there is anyone out there around 5'10", what length have you found most comfortable?

All feedback is very much appreciated.

    Cheers,

I am 6’0” and after talking with Randy at Dream Hammock I decided on 11’ long with 64” width for my custom Raven that should arrive next week. I have a 11’ Chameleon standard width (58” I believe) that I think is a little too narrow because I get some fabric folding beneath my legs. Hoping the wider Raven will give a flatter lay.

    I'm 6'2" and normally sleep in a 11' hammock. But I have a 10' that I occasionally use that I still find comfortable. The 11' is 58", the 10' is 62" wide.
My worst night in a hammock was still better than my best night in a tent!!!!

I'm 6' and weigh 240 lbs. I just started sleeping in a Dutchware Chameleon Wide (11' X 68") and find it very comfortable.

I started with A Grand Trunk Skeeter Beater which even though advertised at 10'6" actually is a bit short of 10'. I thought it was very comfortable until I got a Chameleon wide which is 11' long and 70" wide. World of difference. I occasionally lounge in the back yard in the Skeeter Beater but it doesn't even come close to the Chameleon in comfort. I now also have a Dream Hammock Raven which is 11' long and 64" wide. It is also superbly comfortable for me. I can't really pick a favorite between the Chameleon and Raven.

I'm 5'11" and 165 lbs. and prefer an 11 ft. hammock - never felt the need for a wide.

5` 9" about 165. For four years I've had an 11 foot net less made of Argon 1.6 and like it. I believe it's 58-59 inches wide, whatever the default Dutchwae netless runs.

I used to have a Hennessy Expedition which is about 9.5 feet and heavier material. The 11 footer is definitely preferable, though I have spent many a night in the Expedition. I have no experience with longer GE hammocks, though I have spent a few comfortable nights in bridge hammocks.

    5'4", 132lbs, 11' x 75" when weight is not an issue; 10.5' x 63" when it is.
