Red face The Texas Lone Star trail is awsome.

If you live in Southeast Texas or West Louisiana, you should check out the Texas Lonestar trail north of Houston. Its 96 miles long and is an awesome trail for hammock camping because the entire trail goes through the Sam Houston National Forrest.

You can check out the local Hiking club here: https://lonestartrail.org/
The Forrest service page link is https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/texa...a/?recid=71074

Nice! 96 miles is a good distance for a nice backpacking trip. It looks like there's a little bit of road walking still exists (not much though). Any other hammock-specific observations?
