Enjoy. Hopefully, you’ll get some loon song in the distance not sure if they land in Meacham. I haven’t seen them there. Floodwood Road in Lake Clear is good for lions. There are usually bald eagles at Meacham.

Lions? I haven't heard of Lions in the park. Ha Ha. . How did you ever make out Marmaduke? I am heading up to Meacham for the first time next weekend.

I messaged Marmaduke before my trip to Meacham Lake, He said that Meacham West Side is awesome. They are for the most part, tent platforms and privies over there and it is closed until after Memorial Day so I stayed over in the main camp.
For Hanging it is pretty nice. Most of the water sites would be able to accommodate at least one hammock in the site clearing. The sites aren't on top of each other so there are many possibilities in the woods between sites. Across the road, the non water sites are pretty nice too. Some could accommodate up to 4 hangers. Some sites are adjacent and some have a wooded buffer between. Closer to the beach and amphitheater, some sites in the 32-36 loop have a great field between them, they would be good for a small group. All in all this is a great hanging Campground.
