    You must have the WW2 Mountain sleeping bag - the regular infantry ones were made from wool in WW2. I have a couple of the wool ones and they are really, really warm (and heavy). Any of the down bags from that era used feather and down mixed. I dont think the down would be worth recovering after all this time. Plus none of it was cleaned and sterilized like todays down.
