I realized I forgot to do this earlier.
I've been backpacking for a number of years, and have been increasingly interested in hammock camping. Shug's videos and this forum helped me make up my mind. After spending many hours (and dollars) , I've gone headfirst into this and have chosen a configuration that I seem to enjoy in the backyard so far. I really appreciate reading different perspectives and pros/cons, although this required a LOT of reading and searching.
My new setup consists of:
Suspension: Dutchware Spider web 1.5 5' tree huggers and dutch clips, becket hitched to a set of whoopie slings with whoopie hooks. I chose this for light weight and reduced bulk.
Hammock: Dutchware Chameleon in Hexon 1.0 (I weigh 170 lbs) with a symmetrical bugnet
Top Insulation: EE Revelation 30F quilt (already owned)
Bottom Insulation: HG Incubator 20 (for spring and fall) and a used HG Incubator 40 for the summer.
Tarp: HG Dyneema Tarp with doors, Dutch hookworms + ZingIt + Aluminum Y-Stakes. Individual ridge ties secured with Dutch Wasps.
My complete setup weighs 4 lb, 4.9 oz.
Also, I built a steel pipe hammock stand for the backyard and have been experimenting and practicing a lot.
I enjoy backpacking in the Sierra and look forward to visiting other areas up in Northern California such as the Trinity Alps.
