    Phantom Grappler swears off knots

Some say I’m a knot guru, fact is many here on the Forums know more knots than me.
I had a dozen or so go2 knots and another dozen or so that were vaguely familiar. For those I’d cheat and follow directions from a book or knot app. Some of the Real knot experts on IGKT know all kinds of knots and they Envision Themselves As The Rope As It Travels Through The Knot.
I was trying to learn a new knot in Geoffrey Budworth’s book The Ultimate Encyclopedia of Knots and Ropework.
The pictures were in color and instructions were beside each photographed step.
Problem is I’m left handed and the knot was tied right handed. I just could not fathom that knot.
I was balanced on a log so I could reach higher up the tree. And I kinda held the book open mashed up against the tree while I held a mirror up to the book so I could see this knot left handed. That left my other hand to tie the knot. When I decided to be like the IGKT pros and actually Envision Myself As The Rope As I Made My Way Through The Knot.
I somersaulted on step four just like the rope did in the picture—-
They was blood and glass everywhere.
I might never tie another knot again
I hope you enjoy my New Suspension

    What YouTube Video?

When you give up knots, I'll give up drink. I don't know many folks who use knots with Amsteel, and I can't see you swearing that off!

When you search Google for a lark's head, it always ends up at cow hitch. I don't get that.

There were not enough blueberries on July 7, but should be a boatload of blueberries for the wife on July 21! Beagle Joey has shown no interest in blueberries.

Glad to see you are ok - very slick indeed. What is the webbing used in the video and is that a form of or is it a daisy chain?

It’s Dutch’s spider daisy chain webbing
He has at least two types of webbing this one is lighter of the two at 4.89 grams per foot.
It’s interwoven (not sewn) dyneema webbing every three inches. It’s 2.00 dollars a foot.
It’s somewhat heavier than Dutch’s blue dyneema strap at 2.0 grams per foot and then Dutch also has a new new dyneema strap that tends to stay flat and not curl up like rope that is 1.5 grams per foot. Unbelievable!
Dutch’s spider daisy chain webbing is still pretty light and packable. It’s two straps in tandem that are interwoven every three inches and the loops stay flat together and do not protrude like older versions of daisy chains. So, it’s two straps but they are flat like one strap.
