AMOK Draumr~~ "Lounger" or "Recliner" Mode ??

I have the 3.0 Draumr from Summer '15 when Shug got the Kool-aid Drinkers price special for us here on the Forum.
I have never been particularly satisfied with the recliner mode. I don't get any real feeling that I am much more than laying with my head slightly up.

I think I've been pulling the cinches up as far as I can... head-end all the way and footie mebbe 3/4s.
I have the shorter straps at the head and the longer ones to the foot.
My pad [Exp9LW] is just flaccid enough to pinch my fingers together though a tube [ie: not stiff].
If I get it where my feet can drop down a bit it feels like the fold behind my knees is cutting into me.

Are the newer ones "improved" in a way that makes recliner mode easier, or am I doing something wrong?
    • Pad too full?
    • Cinch straps wrong?
    • Too much expectation?

I recline my head/torso a bit further back and foot end only slightly pulled in so my feet are a bit more extended. If I want to reach forward to get my pot off my stove I just lean my body forward and my feet touch the ground whilst still in my footbox. That is my style.
The recline mode is right good as I can get comfy and read without being in the supine position.
Like any hammock you need to find your "sweet spot"

I also use the synmat 9 LW, but I fill mine as full as it can possibly go with the schnozzle bag.

I crank both sets of straps as tight as they go, and when I do, I also slide by butt slightly forward on the pad. the back is almost straight up and down, like sitting on a couch with a tall back. if I then want to recline more, I just slide my butt backwards (towards head end of the pad) and it shifts back somewhat.

not sure what else to say

    Thx~ especially to Tikker.
I have a feeling the butt-slide is might just be my fix... don't think I've tried that!

Hmmm...buying a new pad for my Draumr - Amok's new one. Will try your setup once I get it. Thanks!

hmmm, I wonder: Is Shug going to get another pitcher of Kool-Aid for us with the upcoming XL / 4.0?

    Let's hope so...
