    3. I'll bring my Meck stand also if someone wants to use it along with an extra hammock, bugnet & tarp.

    4. Gunner - bringing that Brinkmann smoker with wood chips & charcoal for you to use Saturday. (I would bring my Traeger smoker but it requires power...)
    Slugger, how much $$$4wood?
Let us know. I might try to smoke some wings in your smoker before it will be needed for Gunners smoking sensation. Maybe maybe maybe.
If I do, I’ll bring some hardwood charcoals.
Slugger and Gunner do y’all have a charcoal chimney to start charcoal? I don’t have one.

Thanks Gunner, I have plenty of hammock gear. She is just not ready I guess. The Saturday forecast is not looking good. I am going to wait and see around Thursday to make a final decision. I hope it clears up.

A beach umbrella by my folding chair is looking better all the time—with rain forecast.
Phantom—great at dreaming—not quite as good at being...
Possibly a golf umbrella—might fit my budget better—golf—I don’t generally gamble.
If it really rains—a good nap in hammock would work—right after a snack.
My suspension combines tarp and hammock—
Tarp ridgeline runs under tarp—I’ll add extra drip lines. I can easily make tarp be under ridgeline without taking anything down other than releasing guylines on one side of tarp. Before that, I want to see if drip lines will solve problem. There were shoelace drip lines on amsteel going to hammock. Tarp ridgeline has zingit drip lines—real shoelace drip lines will be added to tarp ridgeline.
I’ll be glad to be at Medoc—rain and shine. I gotta get out there hammocking with great people.

Same here. I might need y'all's help diagnosing an issue with my tarp, on a recent trip with the girlfriends family I had it set up, and we only got rain on the last night, but it absolutely poured and I ended up getting wet. I think* it might have been rain coming in from the ridgeline, because I can't find any worn spots in the seam sealing. I can explain more at the hang.

Also, will someone at the hang have a 3/4 length UQ? I'm interested in checking one out (specifically the Phoenix) if someone's got one.

Praying that the rain doesn't amount to much this weekend. (Current accumulation totals make it appear to be leaning towards sprinkles, not downpours...praying it stays that way!) Will be smoking the chicken thighs in advance and will bring as pulled chicken to reheat since my smoker is too large to easily transport.
Looking for new rain boots for my girl in the next 2 days too... everyone plan and bring a ton of rain gear, and I can almost guarantee we will see zero rain. LOL

I will be bringing several different ones including a Phoenix 20 degree

I might need y'all's help diagnosing an issue with my tarp,
Is a 3 or 4 season and how long is it ? I can think of several possible issues......

    tarp too short
rain coming in via tarp ridge line
    not hung low enough
    really bad misting issues
tarp ridge line run under tarp instead of over
rain change direction of attack,,,blowing in from the ends instead of the sides

Rain just makes the hang more interesting! I'll have a couple popup canopies to help keep everyone dry if it does rain as well as my XL sport umbrella I'll setup with my chair that will also provide coverage for anyone sitting next to me. Extra tarp to cover the firewood.
