White BBQ sauce is GOOD...though I am personally fond of my own personal recipe (Found nowhere else but in my kitchen usually) Which combines a smoky with the white....perfectly blended for my Flower Pot Pork....Perhaps I sould bring some of both? (And some smoked chicken since the pork is already on the menu!)

I'm from SC I've had it far too often.

Reminds me of the time I was travelling through Shelby NC on a monthly basis. On Hwy 74 there were about 5 barbecue joints and they all were in just a mile or two. There was fierce competition for styles. I always stopped at Bridges Barbecue Lodge. Back in the old days ALL they sold was pulled pork with a smoky sauce.

The first time I sat down to eat there I asked what kind of barbecue they served. The answer was "We serve barbecue. Do you want a plate or a tray?"

If you ordered iced tea it came to you in a little individual personal pitcher. Room temp with a big glass of ice and would put you in a diabetic coma.

Life was so much simpler then. I'm looking forward to some great food at this hang.

I don't think anyone has gone hungry at one of our hangs. I usually gain a few pounds. I have always enjoyed stopping at BBQ joints as I travel and trying the local Q. Most times it is decent to very good. Have only run into bad Q a few times.

Gunner, Slugger, SteelPlayer——what—no white sauce. I might have to dream up a white sauce unlike any white sauce you seen B4.
White sauces I’ve tried were not my favorite. And usually only used it to mitigate overly hot-spiced Asian chow.

My 60th B-Day is the Thursday night of the hang. No place I'd rather be than with forum friends sitting around the campfire, passing a bottle of juice for everyone to sip on & celebrate with me! Looking forward to this hang.

I'm stealing an idea I just saw from a thread on a NH hang coming up this weekend. I think we need to do this Saturday/Saturday night! Click on the picture to enlarge.

Happy Birthday! Sounds like we need to add birthday cake to the menu Thursday night.

Slugger - Cool - love the pumpkins on fire! And my birthday is the Monday after the hang, so there you go! I'm a bit older than you, however.
