Finally got to use this tarp for real this weekend. As usually happens when I'm on a scout trip, it rained each of the two nights and this tarp kept me 100% dry. it was also pretty darn windy (10-15 mph breeze with gusts up to 25-35) and while I was a bit nervous by how much this flapped around in the wind (I had it pitched pretty wide, so it caught the wind like a sail), but it held together like a champ.
My chosen setup (zing-it CRL with a Dutch hook on one end and a tarp flyz on the other) was a bit more complicated than I'd like, so I'm going to switch that up on the next outing.
Overall, this tarp seems like a good deal and the fabric is very durable as far as I can tell. As this is my first "real" tarp, I can't compare it to anything else.
