    Improvised Deck Anchors

I was doing some work in the hammock lab this afternoon and I needed some deck anchors. I have the fishbone type on order from Amazon, but they won’t be here until Friday:

I really wanted to test out my new Tarp Fleaz and pole mod, and the local park already (very politely) made me take down the hammock before I was able to try the pole mod.

That’s Dodger helping in the hammock lab!

Finally, I stumbled on some old curtain rod hangers that fit perfectly between the boards on my deck. They’re just held in place by tension, but they’re working great! I wouldn’t necessarily trust them in a storm, but they’re nice and quick for an afternoon setup. Best of all, I didn’t have to mod them in any way!!

Hope this helps someone out there, and happy hammocking!!

The real deck anchors arrived today - 10pcs with 10 carabiners for around $16 on Amazon.

    Bring on the storms!!
