Your trip reports are always inspiring! I'm slowly gathering my hammock equipment and planning my first backpacking trip. I haven't been out for several years and really miss it! Looking forward to part 2!

Looking forward to the rest of the story. Those orange wild flowers were pretty. Look like sort of a dandelion. Wish I knew their name. Sometimes I take a small magnifying glass with me to look closely at flowers. They can be amazing, often the smallest are the most intricate. All the pieces work together though.

Liked the Texas State Fair Chili. My last meal on a trip several weeks ago. Hadn't thought about taking some extra corn chips. Good thought. That dish is delish.

Shug, you are a very gracious man.... I probably would not have been as understanding or accommodating to the three green Timberline tents coming in at 9:30 pm. If it was a youth organization, yes, but individuals, I probably would not be a nice as you are. Man they were in the RED zone of sector 7.

Thanks for the video. I’m not sure how I feel about the new packages at PIG. I loved the old style there were multiple ziplocks to org your trash. But can’t beat the grub. Thanks for turning me on to them. Great co. Cool diy tarp.

Brother, I'm 64 and your vids inspire me. I'm going to Shenandoah NP after the 4th for a little fun myself. Then up to the Flight 93 Memorial to reflect on how lucky we are to live in this country.

They were some sort of NOLS type group. They were very polite about it.

I decided I like the new packaging. Less plastic used.

In the first video that's a lot of flowers and a lot of people. Yay to the first and meh to the latter.
