ViDEO: Shug's 3 Night Traipse on Superior Hiking Trail...

This will be a two part video and will add Part 2 here on this thread when it is finished.

Did a three night, four day backpacking trip on the Superior Hiking Trail south from Hwy 1 in Finland down 2 miles north of Split Rock River at Chapin's Ridge camp. Turned around and walked it back to the car instead of my original plan to hitchhike back to my car.
Slept in my Dutchware Chameleon, Frankenquilt UQ, HG TQ and used my DIY Blackcrow trusty tarp as my shelter. All in my ULA OHM.
49.6 miles total on this good rocky, rooty hilly challenging and beautiful section.
    Whooooooo Buddy))))

Well now, I was just sitting here thinking what can I do for the next hour to avoid doing any actual work. Perfect. Glad you made up to the north shore finally. Phew that's a lot of humanity, I admire your risking wading in it to get out there You woke up to my ultimate nightmare lol.

EDIT: I forgot to mention I think that's Orange Hawkweed. We have them all over in my yard and on the NCT as well if that's the same plant.

Once you're lost in twilight's blue, you don't find your way, the way finds you.

I didn't watch the whole film, but you seem to be in good shape !
I loved your green wind jacket, and the first panoramic slow motion shot with the forest. I think you should include more of these simple shots to relax the viewer, and maybe a little less random talking (for my taste) ? Man, you complain about your age, but you have 3 times more energy than I do at 40!
I also love it when you talk about gear, cause you have so much experience and point out the right things to notice.

    Orange Hawkweed!!! I love it!
Saturday was crowded. All to myself the next two nights and way less people.
I had to go Saturday with this window of time. ;/. But weekdays are the mostest bestest.

Those nature scenes are my favorite but they are the chorus members...I am the principle player~~~Haaa
Green jacket is a Montbell wind shirt.
I felt good on this walk for being 60. Hd to really kick it in to get back and feel a sense of accomplishment.
