    Spider/poly straps

Hung my new net less hammock with the whoopie sling suspension kit. Worked great. The knot, not the toghle. The knot, not the toggle. I did not fall. I got the Spyder/poly straps, not the 2.0. I noticed the straps were really squeezed/mashed in the area that formed the marlin spike hitch. Is that normal, will it come out? Do I need to do anything preventive?

The Spider Webs will be fine even if they get crushed, but I like to roll mine up flat when I stow them so they are easier to deploy on the next hang.

No worries over the Spider straps getting mashed, plus it's impossible to keep them flat anyway.

My own practice is to flatten out only the part that goes around the tree and not worry about the rest.

I'm using 15' Venom straps and it would take too much work to flatten out the full length every time. I also have Myerstech straps and they're a bit easier to flatten out, but being white they're a bit more conspicuous than I prefer.

I've hung on the Venoms quite a bit (using J-Bend) and there's no compromise of any kind that I have noticed.
