    New Pennsylvania memeber

Hello from the “Sweetest place on Earth”*!
Recent recovering ground dweller. Lucky enough to have Dutch and his crew a short drive from campus. Therefore, went 0-100 in less then three months. Started out with a gifted ENO, which is serving the family well for summer hangouts. Dabbled in DIY no-sew Costco quilts. Moved into a Chameleon and haven’t looked back. Currently enthralled with re-teaching myself on the sewing machine and have a RipstopBTR DIY waiting for some free time.

I primarily moto-camp but will be leading three Troop 75 Scouts through Camping/Hiking/Cooking merit badges over the next ten months (which includes upping my quilt game [which means EE quilts when the wife gives the OK]). Sleeping in a hammock has renewed my hiking drive after a back injury last summer made tent/pad/bag sleeping impossible. Size of the overall kit means I can lug more adult beverages on the bike.

Excited for the deep dive of information this forum brings. Thanks to everybody who came before me who established such an awesome community and resource deposit!

    Cheers,
    GTPowers

Sounds like you dived down the rabbit hole head first. This is one addictive hobby. Welcome from the Lake Oconee area of Georgia.

Hello from just north of Philly. What do you ride when you moto-camp?

Greetings to you from northeast PA.

Heading out now to spend the Summer Solstice, shortest night of the year under a bright half-moon. Going to shed the tarp tonight and watch the moon and stars.

Life can be good if you let it, (and have a hammock.)

‘09 Kawasaki Versys. Had the bike for three years and have thrown on more faf than the bike is worth. Trusty little thing. I’ve got two little ladies in my life so I only make it out a couple times a year. I normally hover around the parks near State College.
