    Switching lay on Blackbird xlc

Hey all- Been lurking a while and finally got a Blackbird xlc. I've been trying to switch the lay to head right /feet left ,i turn net inside out and all the tie outs are on the inside and when its zipped up the zippers won't close all the way. Feeling kinda stupid here. Any help for a new guy? Thanks

Do you have a new "updated" model, or an old one? The updated version of the XLC has a reversible net- which should have tieouts on both sides. The older model does not have a reversible net.

If it's a new model, are you trying to zip the net from the wrong end of the hammock?

It should be a updated model as i got it a couple days ago. So turn it inside out switch ends and remove shock cord and attach to outside loops?

There should be a second set of loops on the inside that you switch the lines over to once you flip it inside out. The zipper should close all the way as well, couldn't say what is going on there without seeing what you are talking about, email us a picture if you still can't get it to zip after trying again... No need to switch ends. The head end stays the head end, you just switch from head left, to head right. (if thats what you mean by switch ends. If not, then disregard).

Trying to remember - do you turn the hammock body inside out and then reattach the net right side out?

I've had to switch mine also. Remember how everything is tied together, film it if needed.

    Remove bugnet completely.
    Remove elastic straps.
Remove the black cord that keeps the gathered end in a bunch/bundle.
    Remove continuous loop.
    Reverse the process for installation.

NOTE that the black cord is very short. Even my small fingers had extreme difficulty with its reinstall. Have extra zpacks 1mm polyester cord handy..

Wow all that just to change the lay - a little different from flipping bug net.
