I found some 24 or 28 gauge copper wire. I did a couple test splices to try it out. 2 back splices and an eye splice. Thanks for the tips. I think I will try a longer taper Its not too easy doing the bury.

Ive been using a piece of steel fishing leader wire for splicing zing-it/reflect-it. Seems to work ok. Thanks ^ for recommending to taper the bury's. I have not been doing that but will give it a try!
I picked up a collection of very small double point knitting needles at JoAnn Fabrics. For Zing-it, Lash-it or Dynaglide, I thread one of the knitting needles through the path I will pull the line trough, then push the line together end-to-end on the needle. This opens the center of the line easing the way to pull the end through with wire or stitching needle.

I never liked using wire for splicing so I always look for a tool to use and found a micro latch hook used for rigging bait fish. I really like this tool for zing it / lash it and haven't use the 5 pack yet mentioned next.I later found a small 5 pack of latch hooks on ebay similar to the 7 pack that Dutchware now sells.

I've only done a couple splices but i found the wire easier than the hpoks.
So on 7/64 amsteel I trim 3 of the 8 strands and it works great
Exactly how are you trimming zing it
Cut half the strands and feed half the taper through your pulling tool so that when it's folded back on itself there is still only the thickness of a single width of zing-it.

I always taper the bury as well. Best thing I’ve found for splicing.
