I am back! Actually got back a few days ago but, couldn't figure out how to post my pictures upright rather that rotated to the left. (cool pictures of fog rolling in across Pine Lake but, oh well)
I paddled a bit under 50 miles over 4 days. Camped 3 nights at 3 fantastic campsites. I slightly over-packed necessitating double portaging, bringing my foot traveled distance up to around 10 miles.
It rained the night before I put in leaving the first few portages a bit muddy. I portaged in Tevas and paddled barefoot so the mud wasn't too much of an issue. Though, if the trip was any longer, I don't think my feet would have tolerated the Tevas for one more long portage.
Rain plus thick fog made my first day paddling memorable. After drizzling on my the entire first night, the skies cleared and the weather for remainder of my trip was spectacular.
Overall a great trip. As advised, I started early and avoided paddling into the wind for the most part. This trip was more fatiguing than most of my backpacking trips but, the much more scenic campsites than my average backpacking trips made the work so worth it.
Next time I'll bring fishing gear. Next time I'll slow down.
Thanks everyone for your guidance.

Glad you had a good (and safe) trip! I seen a lot of people wet footing it on my trip a week prior to yours. I wore my knee high rubber boots and they were great except in the heat of the day. But then I just slipped on my camp shoes or paddled barefoot.
I need to get my trip report done and posted up in the next day or two as well.

Sounds like a great getaway! Good for you!
Spent 3 straight months traveling in a North Canoe with 8 other guys as a lad, starting in the Boundry Watersand ending in NW Saskatchewan. Adventure of a lifetime! Just starting my hammock learning journey as me ol' bones don't have the same enthusiasm for sleeping on the ground anymore, which together with family and work obligations have contributed to not camping much in recent years. Hoping a hammock might help remedy that.
