Lol I cant walk out of the house with out skeeter spray, I usually use skin so soft from Avon or the commercial version of that

I have been chomped through clothes by skeeters. I use double layer hammocks to prevent bites.
Amazing how the skitter's proboscis is able to do its job through fabric.
A coyple of years ago I thought something was biting me through my DL bridge. It turned out a natural sweetner caused me to have hives.

I really like the 360 degree bug net for this reason. they weigh a bit more, but man it is worth it. I'm typically camping in Louisiana.

I can confirm that they bite through a single layer 1.6 hex... But fortunately mine was a single bite on the neck. Looks like you had a "fun" time. That's what makes the memories, right? Lol.
