Sorry IRONFISH45, the question was meant for the O.P.

I feel for 150 bucks you can’t really complain but I’m Aussie and we don’t have the choices and manufactures you US fellas have

I think the issue is the product is not what was contracted for. The purchaser paid for a CUSTOM PROFESSIONALLY BUILT UQ.
The UQ was returned for repair, the repair was way amateure, like a first time quilt build.
I think it is unfortunate there was not any warning about quality control or sloppy workmanship and customer relations.
If you contract to purchase a custom made item from a licensed company, the purchaser should receive a professionally crafted product.
The cost paid in my humble opinion is not the issue. THE ISSUE IS THE CUSTOMER DID NOT RECEIVE THE ITEM HE/SHE CONTRACTED FOR. PLUS CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS UNACCEPTABLE.
Minimally I would file a comment with the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU in the area the business is licensed in.
If no one complains or comments, then it enables the problem to continue.
Believe me a $150.00 USD is a lot of money to many people.
The greater problem is this shoddy workmanship hurts all our vendor's.
I have made quilts to give away, I would never let someting like the images showed, leave my work space.
I would not be happy with picture 2 to me this would be totally unacceptable and this was the fix. It sounds like you have been back and forth with the vendor and are tried of dealing with them ultimately it is up to you if you feel like $150 is worth it and if you are willing to accept the defect / bad craftsmanship. Personally I would not. Also if this is Molly Mac I have doubts that 2.2 Apex Climashield will get you down to freezing more like 45 - 50 degrees, but everyone is different.

I paid $150 for my 20 degree Wilderness Logics budget king top quilt and it is impeccable. No way would I accept the product in those pictures. The product should be right no matter the money. It is quite nice to have the options we have over here for sure. Helps avoid stuff like the OP received.
There is a long list of really nice quilts you can get for $150 which are made to high standards. My expectation at that price point is that I'm getting minimalist/light gear such as Loco Libre Operator, or SLIGHTLY lesser quality down/fabric such as the Hammock Gear Econ series or Wilderness Logics Budget, created with the same quality stitching as their more expensive gear.
I have a bit different opinion. Had I bought it as a 2nd, seen the photos and weighed out the alternatives, I might have paid $150 knowing what I was getting going in. Had I bought it thinking I was getting a grade A product, I would be asking for a full refund. There is a big difference between buying something like that knowingly and buying it unaware.
I have several cottage vendor items from makers on here and not one stitch looks like that 2nd picture, or even close. Again that said, if that quilt was $250 as a first versus $150 as a second, I likely would have taken it and never complained. But I would have known what was coming up front. I don't think I am overly picky, but I still expect products to be as advertised.
