Does this UQ have construction issues? Would you be happy?

I bought this synthetic underquilt (brand new) from a familiar, small cottage vendor... I'm no quilt construction expert but I thought it had issues. Crossed seams, folded fabric caught in the stitching, and a raw edge. I sent it back and the (very apologetic) vendor fixed it, with a note saying the only issue he could see was a raw edge, which he melted to fix. So I have the quilt with most of the same issues, no raw edge, but a new burn mark. This is actually the third attempt he's taken at sending me a quilt, so it's not like it's a one-off thing. We've been back and forth for months and I'm ready to throw in the towel on getting it revised.

Maybe I'm being too picky. I'm not going to name names right now. I want your honest opinion - if you paid $150 for this UQ and it arrived in the pictured condition, how would you feel? Is this quilt's construction OK in your eyes?

I'm going to write a review after I use it and have a complete opinion of the product but I didn't want to throw unjust shade if I'm in the wrong.

From what I am seeing picture 1 is called a tuck, it is made to help add more material that possibly could be the extra material needed to add the stuffing. Pic 2 is the end left open while the stuffing is happening, it may not be as neat as I would have made it personally, but if you look at a throw pillow they usually have areas that look like that....I cant gry the other pics to load. Ot does look a bit sloppy to me tho

Pic 2 (the one with the burn mark) is the attachment point for the insulation. That extra stitching didn't particularly bother me but it didn't look very nicely finished and the burn mark did. Are pics 1 and 3 normal with the seam running over a tuck? It didn't look intentional to me but I'm no expert

1 & 3 look normal to me. The deal breaker is #2. And no I would not be happy. The cottage vendors sell them selves on service and attention to detail. I feel the vendor should repair it correctly. You will have future issues in that area.

    Best of luck.

I would of been pissed off if I paid 500 bucks Aussie as I did with my -12 c tq or 450 for my -7 uq but 150 US , well I would be happy it didn’t have Chinese dog hair in it . Is 150 a cheap price or am I wrong ?
The burn mark looks crappy , anyway just because it’s cheap doesn’t mean u get a bad product

Maybe buy another underquilt from a different vendor. Then if the second underquilt is better for you, then sell the first underquilt, as is, with the same pictures. Then maybe two people will be happy.
Does your underquilt insulate you adequately, while on camping trips.
Good luck even though from time to time stuff happens. That underquilt might be what is known in manufacturing as a second. I’m not sure how much it would cost the vendor to fix it completely,
As opposed to the cost of total replacement.
The vendor could actually lose money on this transaction. Maybe better to lose money, than lose a customer.

To me one & three might be okay, I really am unable to see the big picture, a full picture of the quilt. The second image is unacceptable. Messy, sloppy, not something that should have been shipped out as first quality.

I consider pleats okay when expansion room is needed. I really can not tell if the pleats are neat or not. What I do see looks okay.

The pleats MAY be acceptable provided they are the same on each side (symmetrical) and part of the overall design. Whoever sewed the edge knew the stitching was sub par on a compromised piece of fabric. The burned fabric and stitching at the closure should not have passed quality control. Paying first quality prices should result in receiving first quality product. Hope you and the vendor are able to come to a resolution.

Just a thought, I know that some vendors have parts of their web pages that are for slightly damaged but still good and usable equipment. Could you have accidentally order from a clearance type section?
