Places to hang within 1.5 hours Manhattan?

Thanks for the suggestions. Seems Harriman is a favorite. I've driven through Harriman a few times a long time ago but never scoped it out from a camping perspective. Also Sebago Lake looks like it would be great for me. Do you know if you can hang on/near the lake itself? Are there designated camp spots or are you free to just hang anywhere? Ideally I could park my motorcycle within fairly close walking distance to where I camp out and the lake.

But u can stealth camp
Or hike to shelter areas

If you wish to join a club which has a camp, some have camping facilities in addition to cabins. ADK is but one, they also have boats and a swimming area. There are some requirements in achieving membership status with those privileges though.

I like going to Swartswood. There's a big lake there, I'm sure its open for fishing. There's also other parks in that area since the AT runs by.
