I just weighed my Metolius load rated mini wiregate carabiners at 48 grams for the pair. My cheap Chinese ones the same size are 50 grams per pair. I bought the Metolius for around 12$ with free shipping.

    Ahhhh....the elegance of a toggle.
    Biners work.
A toggle makes me happy to look at from my hammock.

True, but 'biners can do something else, too.

I bet with a bit of ingenuity a toggle could be a whistle!

Shug, I think the idea is that the 'biner might be useful during the day but I can't imagine what that use might be.

Zipper pulls, miniature rolling pin for miniature baking, blow tube for fires if you don't have facial hair (or don't want to keep it) . . . I'm sure there's more I'm gonna have to look back on my Pinterest.

You can hang your pack from one while being used in a MSH.

In the toggles defense.....you can hang the pack strap over the toggle as well and suspend it.
