Sides for door 3" and center 2". She looks a bit deep on ends doesn't it. I still think I like it the Center is nice and low to the ground for winter.

To the contrary, I think you've nailed it. For all but a few specific applications that require a shallow curve, I've defaulted to the well-performing 1:12 aspect ratio for most of my tarp cat-cuts.

Kitsapcowboy - Now that tarp is a but!!!!
Much thanks for the kind words - now it's off to Cali to test her and the new hammock out.

Question to all but what are the best straps to use with Dutch's beetle buckles or the buckles that came out with his cameleon? I have poly straps that slip but I am either setting them up wrong or they are to thin.

I do prefer Dutch's premium 1" polyester webbing with his Beetle Buckles, Cinch Bugs, and Spiders; the poly straps do weigh more than the sexy high-tech alternatives like the Spider Webs, but the durability and ease of use are second to none.

And he makes them in camo, which is always a plus for me.

Also, I did receive a sample from Dutch of the new Print2Fabric 1" poly webbing; it is FANTASTIC just like the original black stuff, and it looks like you'll be able to get it in any colors and prints you want...

Well I played with the buckles and look what I found. Just like almost every thing on this build - user error all the way. Dutch love the buckles now. Awesome fabric RSBTR!! Now for the pole mod.

Well great night out - a bit funny but had my 20* zeplin on with not top cover - temps at about 60* got chilly and grabbed a fleece throw - perfect.

Should have seam sealed the bottom edges but the Ridgeline and sides are perfect. FYI if you do a rolled hem boarder and don't seamseal - your hem will hold water. I am letting it dry out and will seam seal all after I sew in the "pockets" for the tent poles and should be perfect.

That's why I always roll the hem under towards the inside of the tarp..
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....
