    Diy hammock of tarp(aulin)?

    Hi

I'm not sure if tarp is the correct word, but its the "thing" you put over your boat etc to protect it. Is it possible to make a hammock out of that? I know you will need sewing machine and so on, but not sure about if the tarp is strong engouh, guess there is only one way to find out

Just made my first hammock stand out of 2x4. Turned out nice no awaits some work with the router, sanding paper and paint.

You probably could, but it would be a vapor barrier and be unpleasant to be in. And noisy. If you want to experiment, get a crinkle taffeta from Tablecloth Factory and whip the ends. You get a comfy hammock or two for just $20.

Browser search or google search table cloth hammocks? This might bring you to old threads at Hammock Forums about table cloth hammocks and the name etc. of supplier.

In my opinion, not a good choice—-fabric might have small holes and lead to falling to ground.

Or what size you choose——you might want to buy a slightly larger blank size, so that your finished hammock with all the hems and folded end channels (if used), will finish to the actual size you want.
I’m sorry if I’m not clear, and also sorry to use feet rather than metric equivalents.
    Good luck

The problem about buying from tablecloth is that it probably cost more to send combine with item to send it to Norway than a brand new hammock here

The point is that you can make a hammock for cheap with nothing more than some rip stop nylon from the fabric store. There is no need to be using blue tarps.
