John. I just bought a hammock for camping. Been lurking here and on Shug's youtube channel for about a month. Gonna try out the hamaca this weekend on a two night trip!

Hello John and welcome from Northern Arkansas! Best of luck with your first test!

Thanks to all. Got some major calf ridge going on, so I'll see what I can do. Might get rained on, too. Oh well: go big, or go home.
First two nights went way better than I'd hoped. Still struggling a little with setup and learning a lot about organizing gear. Tried a self-inflating and an accordion style pad. Liked the self-inflating one better, but def had some moisture from it. Will probably get an UQ soon as it seems a more elegant solution, and I'm saying adios to tents! Second night I only woke up to pee, and when I got up in the morning NO BACK PAIN!! And that was after a day of caving!
Shug has an entire video about calf ridge pressure. His video is loaded with information on combatting and preventing CRP.
