Is anyone using these wall anchors from Dutch's site?

    https://dutchwaregear.com/product/ad...e-wall-anchor/

I'm thinking seriously of getting these things so I can hang my hammock in the spare room or maybe even my bedroom and ditch my bed all together. I'm thinking they'd be good for running a line to dry gear and even hang my tarp to dry. Curious how they are holding up for folks that have been using them. Thanks!

They have been working nicely for me in the bedroom. Look clean and adjust nicely. In the work room I’m using climbing anchors on the climbing wall.

What kind of screws did you use to mount them?

I had some long heavier deck screws in my tickle trunk which did the job nicely. (3 per track)
Edit: tickle trunk refers to a Canadian kids show ‘Mr. Dressup’

They work great! I’ll take a pic of the screws you need later when I get home. You need the kind with a flat top, not the ones with the rounded top. You can also stack them inline and they match up nicely. They work great for dialing in your ridgeline because shortening and lengthening your ridgeline changes the height you will need to hang from to keep a comfortable chair height.

Working well for me in my basement. Used them several times this winter with no issues.

I've been using similar Adjustable Wall Anchors for about 6 months for at least a 2 hour nap at least once a week and averaging an overnight once a month.

I pre-drilled and used medium carbon 3.5" #10 screws from Fastenal in one application and GRK R4 same dimension screws in another one. I made sure I was in the center of the wood stud. I believe I read one recommendation of using SPAX #10 3.5" Deck Screws. I'm around 225# and have seen/heard no issues even with one 15* hang angle 2 hour nap test. (oops)

Mounting into a corner of the room or edge of window (so you're into a stud that is attached to another) is likely your best bet for safety and strength.

If you make sure of your hang angle and use the right screws into properly constructed wood walls, you should be happy with it.

Thanks for the feedback!! Looks like I'll be putting in another order to Dutch this week.

I have been using them for 6 months. Sleep in my hammock almost nightly. Make sure to pre-drill a hole so not to split the stud that you are using.

I use the same tracks, but with a different attachment point piece. (I got mine before Dutch started to carry them.)

I had to install one of them twice -- the first time, the screws I was using snapped from the torque of screwing them in (even with pre-drilled holes!). I got slightly pricier framing quality screws for the second attempt. I've been using mine for six months or more. I love them, especially that they give me some flexibility with the hang height on each end.
