Ok, maybe a "Hint" when Burnt Orange will be available in 74" ?
Looking to order a WIDE hammock from DH in 2.2oz HEX70,, and really want Burnt Orange.
Are we looking at a week or 2? or a month or 2?

    Thanks,
    Slack

Hi there. Sorry for the wait, but we're only weaving/producing the new 74" width when the 68" sells out in each color. We have about 110 yds of the Burnt Orange 68" remaining. Hard to say how long that will take to sell out, but this fabric does sell pretty quickly for us.

Sorry we can't offer any further info here :/.

Have these transitioned? The web site shows a number much higher than 110 available for Burnt Orange, but it's not listed in the specs as one of the ones that has transitioned to 74".

    Same question re: Olive Yellow.

Hi there! So for logistical reasons, we aren't selling any of the 74" through the site until all the 68" is gone in a particular color. Sorry about that. It's just the only way to keep things orderly. The Burnt Orange and Olive Yellow are still at 68", but we will update the site just as soon as the transition happens.

I totally understand. It just sounded like from the earlier post that Burnt Orange was a bit closer than it now appears to be, so I was just double checking. No worries!

Thinking of ordering this material (PU3000/DWR) for a heavy-duty winter tarp....I want something I don't have to worry about (rips, damage, etc.). How does this material fare in terms of sag/stretch when wet?

    Thanks!

Hi Steve! Being nylon it will absorb more water than poly and likely sag some, but just how much is hard to say. I know that some folks have made tarps from the HEX PU3000. We haven't heard any negative reports of extreme sag or anything.

That being said, keep in mind that this fabric has a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) instead of a silicone coating. Over time, that DWR will wear down and the fabric will then absorb more moisture on the face than a silicone coated fabric. When that happens, your tarp will start to sag more.

Let us know if we can help with anything else.

Thanks Kyle I ended up going with that material. The tarp has 3 interior poles so that should help with the sag I'm assuming...Can you reapply a DWR finish to it down the road sometime? How does that work when the other side is coated?

    Thanks!
