Where do you keep your shoes?

or in my case "camp slippers"
I exclusively kayak camp/fish,, so I can bring more than you "trail dogs",, but not nearly as much as the "redneck canoes"
That said,, where we pull off the river, off comes the wet water shoes, and out comes my comfy camp slippers.

I have a nice 3x5 ground cloth at the zipper side of my hammock,, but if I leave them there over night,, there is bound to be a slug or two,, or one of them spiders with a million babies on it's back hiding in the slippers.

Where do you stow your shoes ? in the hammock? outside?
I need easy access to them for the multiple "I'm over 45" night time piss breaks

Tie the laces together and hang them on the ridgeline. Sometimes, when my shoes are a bit soggy, I'll put them in the hammock with me to dry out. It works fine if you hang on a diagonal - not so good for people who sleep banana-style.

On the ground for me and I've never had an issue. Hanging them on the ridge line is a good idea though.

I usually just leave on the ground but kayak camping has it's own challenges. I could potential problems where I am as well.

Maybe take a stuff sack big enough to fit them.. maybe your tarp stuff sack.. and hang them off an end of your hammock?
Also dutch makes a water bottle ridgeline pocket that looks perfect for shoes I've been eyeballing.

Either on ground or chair next to hammock but my shows are flats with good visibility into shoe so less opportunity for hidden unwanted guests. Maybe wear flip-flops?

I have a zippered bag of some sort that I purchased from Jared at SLD.During the day its on top of my pack in case I want to put clothing in or out of it.That provides dry storage attached to the pack.At night I can put my shoes inside and zip them up to keep the crawlies out.

I have done the ridge line (suspension line outside),, to far to reach after unzipping.
Thinking of adding 2 small loops sewn at the hem line with "clips" to clip the shoes to? or a small "shoe organizer" clipped to the side of the hammock.
Not sure if shoes hanging off the side of the hammock would interfere with the "lay" ?

Keeping it simple. I get up at least once throughout the night anyway and need easy access. Just step right out into them basically.

My camp slippers come into the hammock with me. I tied laces together and toss them over the ridge line as I also have to get up in the middle of the night.

Egad, I would never leave my shoes on the ground under my hammock.

I need quick access to my footwear due to very tender feet, awful leg cramps and vertigo. Shoes and light I need fast. With my RR, simple in a paper bag in a saddle bag. In my Black Bird I hang my ahoes from the head of my ridgeline, so the shoes are not inside the hammock.

I firmly shake anything and everything before I put it on.
