    A bear walked by your hammock and you don't mention it until the 4th paragraph of the report? Most of us would not be that unflappable.

    I was more worried that it was a person than a bear! Laying in my hammock I was like “It’s just an animal, what if it’s a person, it could be a person, WHY IS SOMEONE OUT HERE?!?”

    You guys needed a game camera so you would have some shots of a lifetime. Beautiful area and you beat most of the AT hikers to Mt. Katahdin.

    Indeed she will. I still remember my first climb up to Pamola Peak at age 11 in 1979 with my mom, sister and brother. Good times. Katahdin/Baxter Park is one of my favorite parks in the world...for the memories, but also for the stark beauty of the scenery/wildlife. Mt. Katahdin is to be respected, as many have died up there.
