Personally, I love camo or low contrast colors. Multicam is my fav, just want to feel like I am a part of the woods, that I belong, no military fantasy stuff.

I’m transitioning away from brighter colors to more neutral colors myself. Bears are curious creatures and seem to be drawn to colors that ‘break the panorama,’ to quote the the Chili Peppers. Orange, blue and yellow are colors to avoid, if you can help it, in my opinion.

I'm all about that bright orange hammock!
If I'm concerned about being seen by animal or man, I can hide it in under my tarp (dark olive) and underquilt (dark grey).
As a general rule, I prefer my gear to be bright, highly contrasting colors. It makes everything much easier to find in my pack and much harder to leave behind at camp. This applies more to small stuff like utensils, socks, or headlamps, but the principal still holds somewhat for larger items like a hammock.
No camo for me, unless it's on sale, or I win it, like this Chameleon I won at a group hang last year:
