Loco Libre, Hammock Gear, or Enlightened Equipment underquilt?

I'm looking for an ultralight 20 degree underquilt for backpacking and motorcycling, and have narrowed down my choice to Loco Libre, Hammock Gear, or Enlightened Equipment. Which one is best?

Price is less important than weight, performance, and features.

    Thanks in advance for feedback!

Here are the comparisons per each vendors website.

You can also go with a shorter length which will lower weight IF you know you can get by with a 3/4 quilt.

None is really better than the other, they're all superb. And I would add UGQ to the mix.

Each has their own style and baffling. Each has slightly different ways they can be ordered online, but all of them will do a custom cut if you know what you want. I have a zero Incubator and a 30 Revolt and they absolutely do what they're supposed to do.

EE tends to be lighter and more expensive. I don't know that their materials are any different from other makes, so I kinda believe they don't overstuff as much as the others. They also don't make them as long as the other makes, with the "long" Revolt being only 75". However, I'm a big fan of getting coverage from heels to shoulder because any extra length is really unused, and a lot of unused weight. My Incubator is the short version, and my Revolt is the regular 65" version.

I’ve only used HG’s underquilt, but I do have an EE topquilt as well and both are equally good. Any of the three, as well as UGQ which was also mentioned, will treat you very well. It’s just a matter of pulling the trigger on one.

I'm partial to Loco Libre myself. George's work is superb. And he's extremely generous with the amount of down used. But all of them make great gear. As mentioned earlier, you should also throw UGQ into the mix.

No worry... one of them will "speak to you" more than the others... you CAN"T go wrong

Loco Libre, Hammock Gear, or Enlightened Equipment underquilt?

I would also suggest you check out UGQ. Some reasons I like UGQ:
-they use HD and M10 fabrics instead of Argon
-they offer higher fill power down as an option
-their down is not treated like most others. Here is their stance on the matter:

“UltimaDOWN is not a hydrophobic treated down. Although we have offered hydrophobic treated down in the past, we have weighed the benefits vs. drawbacks carefully, and have recently stopped offering WR down. The benefits, which are marginal at best in real world scenarios, are offset by lower loft, intra laundering clumping, and the need for more down to offset the lower lofting and possible clumping. Effective April 11, 2016, we will no longer use hydrophobic down in our products.”
Sourced from https://ugqoutdoor.com/top-quilts/bandit/ under the features section.

It’s important to keep in mind that you can email most of these cottage vendors and request a lot of different customizations that aren’t offered publicly. More often than not, they will oblige. For example, a custom length or width, a different shell fabric, leave out features you don’t need like pad loops or snaps or cinch cords, add extra snaps, change footbox height, relocate tags, change stitching color…things of that nature. Some of these things are no charge.

Loco Libre Gear is my favorite; if it happens to way a few grams more, it just keeps you that much warmer when you need it to.
