Just found this forum after I purchased my hammock. Hopefully I didn't do too bad. I bought a Hennessey Hammock long explorer. I also bought an Arrowhead under quilt and over quilt. I had a tough time finding a place for my tarp on my last hike. Too many trees.

Yeah I'm about to buy a rainfly for my Bear Butt which unfortunately doesn't come with a bug net so then I bought a golden eagle bug net, and I got to buy a rain fly not so sure I would go that route again

So i decided to put some more info about myself. I was a commercial fisherman for 25 years. My first hammock was one i made myself. I needed to learn how to mend nets and hand knit a hammock with oak speaders. That hammock served me well for many years. My next hammock was a double wide knit by hand for me and my future wife. I had a quick lesson on geometry with that one. What i learned from those was that knotted hammocks are not the most comfortable.
